Recent Material Added 2/7/05: I took some time off over the last several weeks to work on redesigning and streamlining my website a bit. It is difficult to get long stretches of time with a busy life and hobbby - so I've had to do this in pieces. Hopefully, you'll appreciate the redesign as much as I do. Better organization and presentation never hurts anyone. Uploading new pages and construction behind the scenes on the website will continue throughout February and March of 2005. I will be uploading old content and new content created during the interim.

Added 1/29/05: I recently rebuilt my Skybow WC-57 Command/Reconnaissance Car miniature. This is an excellent kit for any skill level modeler. It was the victim of an accident - and I liked it so much - I had to put it back together. Also, I apologize to modelers following my site looking for more frequent updates. I am also the Managing Editor for Armor/AFV Content at Armorama.com. I am quite engaged there uploading fresh material for our internet membership - even content that I would have posted there on my site. Please visit Armorama daily!

Added 9/19/04: I uploaded the first part of my article building Formations Models M4A1 with Applique Armor conversion kit into a miniature of "Derby"- early in the Normandy Invasion. On 9/21/04 I began uploading Part One of my conversion of Italeri's M1A2 Abrams main battle tank into the recent upgraded M1A2 SEP Abrams. This was a involved research effort for a deceptively simple upgrade.

Added 5/15/04: I went back and replaced the figure on my Tamiya T-55A Model 1970 Medium Tank. Not a big fan of figures, I wasn't happy with the Tamiya offering - but used it until I could find something more appealing. I got a hold of a new figure from Alpine Miniatures and began working on it. I guess a higher-quality miniatures changes anyone's outlook. I happily put this one together and added it to my model. Now, I'm more inclined to work with figures after experiencing this example.

I also uploaded coverage of my efforts to build Italeri's new M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank - and further convert the model to represent the latest production SEP variant. This modeling effort is a part of a larger Abrams model tank group build going on over at Armorama.com

Added 4/9/04: All moved in and setting back into a familiar routine! The best part of moving is getting the last box unpacked and precious items put in their place. I plan on returning to routine site uploads - several this month to catch up.

The last week of March took me to my local HobbyTown USA to participate in the Spring 2004 National Model Photo Contest. My gun truck "Sopwith Camel" was awarded Best of Show/Best Military Vehicle in its debut contest, and my M25 Dragon Wagon / M18 HellCat combination was awarded Best of Show overall, to be submitted for National Award consideration at HobbyTown USA Headquarters. In the Fall 2003 HobbyTown USA NMPC, my M24 Chaffee Light Tank locally won Best Paint, Best of Class, and Best of Show honors locally and was a finalist in the National running.

The first week of April would also see me taking a trip to New York City to deliver a very special miniature to NBC News Headquarters. In November of 2003, I was commissioned to scratchbuild a miniature of NBC News' Battelfield Satellite News Gathering System that was used during the US invasion of Iraq. Named "The Bloommobile" in honor of NBC Journalist David Bloom, I would model a 1:35th scale Mobile Satellite Uplink Truck based on a Ford Diesel F-450 SuperDuty Truck. To date, this would be both my most difficult and important model miniature project - and now a source of great pride for both myself and NBC News. Working on "The Bloommobile" has taken most of my modeling time since accepting the commission in 2003, and I had kept my participation in the NBC News Memorial project pretty close to the vest since. I delivered the model miniature and attended the Memorial Dedication Ceremony on April 8th. The Ceremony was filmed and broadcast to all NBC local affiliates, shown on the local news that evening.

Added 2/20/04: Happy news for my family - we're moving into our first home in a month. During the move there will be no updates to my site until we get settled. I anticipate this being sometime in mid-April.

Added 2/16/04: Since the last site update, I managed to build and complete Fine Molds' excellent TIE Interceptor and wrap-up weathering for my Fine Molds X-Wing Fighter at long last! These are between an important project I've got going on behind the scenes. More on that in the upcoming weeks...

Added 1/1/04: Happy New Year! Efforts to streamline my site continue. Some pages will go away temporarily - and some permanently. Not a concern over space, but efforts to add more interesting subject matter and allow for more frequent uploading/updating. I completed uploading images of my gun truck miniature "Sopwith Camel".
